Genome British Columbia has employed Marilyn Pearson’s services for more than ten major events over the past two years, and we have been nothing short of impressed and amazed by her excellent service and creativity. In fact, just recently, Cuisine & Company provided catering for more than 150 guests at the Genome BC Christmas party – a very successful event due in part to the service provided by Marilyn and her team. Genome BC produces high-end events, entertaining people from world-renown scientists to members of the provincial government. We count on first-class service, high professionalism and flexibility. Marilyn Pearson and her staff not only meet and exceed all of these important criteria; they also do it in a timely, organized manner while respecting our budget. On October 2, Marilyn provided catering services for the opening of the GEEE! in Genome Exhibit at Science World. The event was attended by more than 200 honored guests including Premier Gordon Campbell, Olympic athlete Charmaine Crooks, and members of the media, to name a few. Due to the nature of this event, impeccable service and delicious eats were essential. Marilyn Pearson provided all of the above and more. One of the things we appreciate most about Marilyn is her unique creativity with the menu and presentation. Everything always looks and tastes fabulous – from her tenderloin canapés to her Chai tea lattes. We have recommended Marilyn to many of Genome BC’s key partners and will continue to do so far into the future.

Marilyn Pearson Cuisine & Company provided catering services for our 10th Anniversary BBQ on September 16, 2006. This event was held at a physician’s private home. We were very impressed with how professional and attentive the service staff were to the guests. The staff arrived at the scheduled time and set up the buffet and bar promptly prior to the guests arriving. We were very impressed with their attention to detail including the place cards with the name of the dishes that were being offered. The food was fantastic. The chef was barbecuing as the guests arrived and everything was served fresh and hot for the guests. The dessert we ordered was great including a sundae bar for the kids which they thoroughly enjoyed. The barbecued fruits were a special treat. The host and hostess were very impressed with the service as they packed everything away and left their house spotless. They were equally impressed with the fact that all the leftover food were donated to the Food Bank. It was pleasure doing business with Marilyn Pearson Cuisine & Company and we highly recommend their services.

Hi Marilyn,
I just wanted to reiterate what a wonderful time we all had on Saturday. It was certainly a special evening and we got many accolades about the food and the overall ambiance. Your goal of “creating magic” was certainly achieved and many guests said they had never experienced such an event and would remember it forever! Everyone had a lot of fun and I believe that you successfully utilized all the unique areas of our home and patios optimally. As we discussed yesterday, the fireworks and the pizza serving at the end really gave it a fun and relaxed tone during a time when everyone was more than ready to let their hair down a bit and just bask in the fun. I was extremely pleased with the staff, their smart attire and their attentiveness to serving the guests all over the property. I will reiterate how much Alexandra and I were impressed by Michael’s engaging and friendly style throughout the set-up phase, the entire day of the wedding and even yesterday during clean-up. He certainly gave the impression that his sole focus was to make everything as right as possible and we highly appreciated that. It was a delight to see him and your son yesterday during the clean-up which was done in an efficient and inobtrusive fashion, virtually invisible to us and our out-of-town guests who came over on Sunday to enjoy again some of the wonderful food. So thanks so very much for working with us, Kim and Jon to create a special, memorable and magical moment.

We just returned from a week of vacation after a very fantastic wedding! Thank you so much for all of your expertise planning our event. We had a great time and so did all of our guests. Lots of people told us how great the food was and more than a handful of people told us it was the best wedding they had ever been too!
