Limoncello

10 organic Lemons

750 ml Vodka

1.5 cups organic raw sugar

4 cups filtered water

fresh picked basil leaves

Peel the lemons with potato peeler, careful not to get too much of the white pith.

place peels and a sprig of basil leaves into a large glass mason jar pour in vodka

cover loosely and let infuse for four weeks at room temperature

shake ever week or few days

strain vodka discard peels

heat sugar and water till sugar has melted

Pour in vodka

pour into fancy sterilized bottle and let sit for another week or so at room temp

store in freezer…gorgeous!!
