Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers at Dirty Apron

In support of the Soup Sisters, a few of us at the office are organizing a fun night out and thought you might be interested in joining us.

For a second time, we will be heading to the Dirty Apron Cooking School, for the Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers – a monthly Soup Making event which provides soup for a number of local shelters. We’ll learn how to make a great soup, and share some over a casual dinner, and, of course, donate to those in need.

Here are the details if you’d like to come:

May 27, 2013,

5:30 – 8:30 pm

Cost to participate $50 (payable to Soup Sisters)

RSVP by May 15, 2013

It’s a casual event, and you are welcome to extend the invite to your friends and family who are interested in participating too. We had a great response last time, and space filled up quickly.  Please let us know by May 15, 2013 if you would like to join us.

It will be a fun night, for a great cause!

Background

Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers is a non-profit charitable social enterprise dedicated to providing comfort to women, children and youth through the making, sharing and donating of soup.  Working in groups, participants learn under the guidance of an expert chef in a professional kitchen to produce approximately 150-200 servings of nourishing soup that are delivered fresh to local shelters – Kate Booth House, Broadway Youth Resource Centre and Koomseh Transition House.

Events are social evenings with lively conversation, chopping, laughter and warm kitchen camaraderie that culminate in a simple, sit-down supper of soup, salad, bread and wine for all participants. View CTV Clip
