★ “Through constant research and experimentation, MANNI has successfully produced the best and healthiest olive oil in the market.” – Thomas Keller, chef-owner of The French Laundry (Yountville, CA) and Per Se (New York).
★ “It’s the most full flavored, luscious oil I’ve ever tasted”– The Los Angeles Times
★ “Critics have likened its purity to that of a fruit juice or a fine wine. Top chefs put it aside to offer their most favoured guests. Tasting them was mind-blowing. I had no difficulty agreeing with the large claim that these were the world’s best olive oils.” – Paul Levy, The Observer, UK
An extremely exclusive product with absolute incomparable characteristics, and a strictly limited production of 2,500 litres per year. Armando Manni has created a revolution in olive oil with his exclusive “Live Oil” method of production, harvesting, pressing and preservation of the oil, using rare olives from age-old trees found only on the Tuscan slopes of Monte Amiata. This caused it to be the only olive oil in the world certified and regularly tested by the University of Florence for its qualities. Most extra virgin olive oil can only be named as such only at the time of the pressing, after which it progressively loses its qualities, taste and health benefits. Not MANNI. These certified Organic Farming oils will always reach you in the same condition they left the press — intact and alive. This is the only extra virgin olive oil in the world that can make that claim. The result is a cult following of foodies and purveyors of fine things (included in the Academy Awards’ Gift Baskets 2005 and 2006 and in the book “The 101 Things to Buy Before You Die”). The richness of the concentrated taste means you only need to use about 35% of your normal olive oil quantity. Packaged in a beautiful minimalist gift box designed by celebrated art director Riccardo Ruini (Gucci, Bulgari, Liu Jo).
Tasting notes: “Per me” has a very rich pungent bouquet with notes of chocolate, and its length and sharpness in the mouth is like that of a great wine. A refined connoisseur’s artefact. “Per mio figlio” is more delicate, velvety, a caress for more sensitive palates, a buttery strong taste, with a bitter finish. Perfect for the young and stylish generation.
